The ethnos of the Carni between Italy an Pannonian roman imperial age.

The article proposes a reconsideration of two inscriptions about the Celtic people of the Carni in the imperial period: the dedication to Hadrian of Aelii Carni of Neviodunum (CIL III, 3915) and the honorific decree for the senator of Tergeste Lucius Fabius Severus from the Antonine period (CIL V, 532).
