A famous Latin epigraph from Tymandos (Pisidia) – which bears the text of an imperial
letter granting the inhabitants the right to establish a civitas – is set in close connection
with three other inscriptions from Kolbasa, Termessos and Sagalassos, all Pisidian cities.
The comparison allows both to propose a new dating for the epigraph of Tymandos
(312/313 or before 324) and to understand the variability of reactions towards Christianity
by the urban centres of the same Anatolic region.
