This paper examines the interrelation of three fragments from Parmenides’ poem (VS 28 B 1, B 7 and B 8), traditionally presented as two fragments (B 1 and B 7/8) following W. Kranz’s arrangement. It proposes relocating the verses of fragment B 7 to the end of the proem, aligning with the arrangement found in Sextus Empiricus, rather than placing them at the beginning of B 8. Furthermore, it suggests incorporating into B 1 a verse, quoted by Plato, which may have been lost due to a saut du même au même. This leads to some final remarks about the distinction of the poem in two parts.
