K. Panegyres has recently argued that a hidden iambic quotation can be identified in a Homeric scholion (schol. ex. T Il. XXIV 49a1 E.), which he tentatively attributes to Euripides. This note shows that there is no evidence to support either the view that the relevant portion of the scholion is verse rather than prose, or the attribution of the alleged line to Euripides.
