1. Ar. Nu. 332-334 is an asyndetic series showing who the σοφισταί in l. 331 are. Therefore, the second βόσκουσι (l. 334) has an expressive function. 2. In the schol. vet. Barb Ar. Nu. 1115a Holw. and in the Heliodoros’ schol. vet. V Ar. V. 1283e K., the word τόπος does not mean ‘space’ but simply ‘point of the text’. Therefore, schol. vet. Barb Ar. Nu. 1115a Holw. should not be necessarily traced back to Heliodorus. In the Barberinian the commentator says that five cola have fallen, but presents only their fall as a possibility; he adds he also has written about these cola in his commentary on the first Clouds. It is worth hypothesizing the ancient commentator read those five cola in first Clouds and believed they were originally in second Clouds because other parts nearby were the same in the two Clouds’ versions: probably, these parts are the catalectic trochaic tetrameters from the second parabase.
