I grandi esperimenti del CERN mettono in gioco grandissime risorse economiche per la cui gestione è stato necessario creare un nuovo ruolo nel management delle grandi collaborazioni, il “Resource Coordinator”, al quale affidare la gestione tecnica e scientifica delle grandi acquisizioni. I meccanismi di queste grandi acquisizioni fatte attraverso il CERN vengono discussi e le procedure brevemente descritte.

Large Experiments at CERN put into play very large economic resources. For this reason a new role had to be introduced in the management of these large collaborations: the “Resource Coordinator” who has the scientific and technical responsibility of large procurements. Mechanisms of these large procurements through CERN are discussed and the procedures are summarised.
