Editio princeps of the lexicon of P. HeWithin a doxography concerning the localization of Elysium, Servius (ad Aen. V 735) relates the opinion of a grammarian whose name is variously written in manuscripts as pius/prius/ porphyrius. The paper discusses the previous attributions of this passage to the grammarian Pius and to Porphyry, and proposes to recognize in it an observation by the commentator Porphyrion (Porphyrio), which was originally related to an Horatian ode.id. inv. 3069v.
